Get Out of the House

One of my favorite things about working less, earning more is being around the house more.  I love seeing my son for more than just a kiss over breakfast.  I love scheduling contractors at 11am instead of 7pm, and I love working in my home office.

But sometimes I really need a change of scenery.  It’s a little too easy to get caught up in another round of dishes, the television, or those small ticket to-do’s that swallow up our waking hours.  I’ve found a great coffee shop in town with free wireless internet access.  I’m still only one mile from home (i.e., great commute), but I can focus for a few hours on just work.

Now that’s a good strategy for improving productivity and getting more done in less time!

I hear you on getting out of the house. I find that changing the scene can kickstart my focus almost immediately. I also go the coffee shop route, as well as the local library.
