Welcome to the Four-Day School Week

According to CNN, Brevard Community College is the first school in the nation to adopt a four-day school week (i.e., no classes on Fridays).  Call me crazy but haven’t students everywhere been avoiding Friday classes for decades?  From my experience, a Friday class is about as intolerable as anything before 11:00 a.m.

Still, kudos go to Brevard for saving over $250,000 annually and using that newfound cash to hire ten additional staff members.  That ought to keep college grads from making the kind of grammar mistakes depicted in this t-shirt.College T-shirt

If you ask me, the four day school week is a great training program for working less and earning more .  What better way to prepare for this lifestyle than mastering it in school first.  Here’s hoping universities everywhere adopt the same system.  We’ll officially start saying TGIT instead of TGIF.

I couldn’t agree more! If we all shaved Fridays off the work week, we’d be in better shape. With a 3-day weekend, employees would be rested and energized for Monday morning!
